Biography

The graze is the solo project of Seattle songwriter Louis O'Callaghan. It began in late 2002 with the demise of O'Callaghan's band Utah Anvil as an attempt to play shows and record by himself. Recording proceeded at a leisurely pace, resulting in the full-length Iowa Anvil, released in 2004. O'Callaghan followed the release with a national tour and promotional push via Nice Promotion. The record was well received by press and radio, resulting in rotation at dozens of college radio stations around the United States and a lot of good reviews. Since releasing Iowa Anvil, O'Callaghan recruited Jeffrey Henry, Sam Jansons (both of the band Rosyvelt), and Seth Howard (of Fey Ray) to fill out the band when playing live.

The graze is currently recording a follow-up to Iowa Anvil, and playing around Seattle.
